Fun with Dave and Dave
In an effort to make myself take more pictures, I joined this group on the photo site Flickr called "Class with Daves". It's two Dave's who gives out three photo assignments each week, that the members then have to fulfill to the best of their abilities. This weeks assignments is as follows:
cwd171: Justice. It means so many things to so many people. Express the concept of Justice to all of us; surely we are your jury.
cwd172: Green. I refuse to bracket you on this one. Show us what you can do.
cwd173 : Light in the frame. The Kodak guides from the 70’s will tell you to put the sun behind the photographer, shining on the subjects face. This invariably results in pictures where the subjects are squinting into a bright vacation sun. Your challenge is to present an image where a light source is in the frame. The light in your image does not need to be the sole source. Realize having a light in your image may freak your exposure meter out. Have an idea of the image you’re after, then execute it. Don’t be satisfied until you achieve your vision.
Pretty ambitious stuff eh? The pics are due Tuesday, so I've got the weekend to finish as many as I can. If you've got any brilliant ideas, feel free to share them.
Went to another gig at Loppen yesterday, this time with The Paper Chase. It was brilliant, the band really gave it their all, and delivered an excellent show. The place wasn't very full - which was nice in comparison to the sauna experience that Of Montreal was - which meant that I could get right in the band's faces and take some nice pics. See all my pics here.
