First prototype done
We've been busy little bees in our group,working on the vampire game prototype. And managed to build a pretty cool system to show today. The system has three characters (all sketchings of female moviestars :), which each has a number of characteristics defining them, i.e. empathy, pride, performer, humor, lust, aggression and so forth. We've then created 22 actions they are able to perform against eachother and a corresponding emoticon (icon).

One of the characters will then randomly act towards another, generate a top 5 list of possible actions determined by the characters relationship and the strength of the corresponding characteristic (e.g. high lust might push seduce and flirt up on the list), and randomly choose one action from the top 5. The character acted upon will then choose a reaction based on the same method, and finally the relationship between the two characters might be modified (e.g. insulting a character will worsen the relationship).
So far the game operates autonomously, that is the player is not able to interact with it. That is the next step, creating a playable prototype with a level and a setting.
