Oscars

I'm usually don't care much for the Oscars, but this year I have to admit that it was good choices from the academy. Scorsese finally finally won one for The Departed, which also won best movie. Very much deserved, it's an amazing movie. I can also recommend the original Hong Kong movie Infernal Affairs. The rest of the awards weren't bad choices either Whitaker for The Last King of Scotland and Helen Mirren for The Queen, and Das Leben der Anderen for best foreign film.



Here is my short list:

Best movie: The Departed
Best Director: Martin Scorsese
Best supporting actor: Mark Wahlberg (The Departed) "Maybe, maybe not. Maybe fuck yourself."
Best supporting actress: Rinko Kikuchi (Babel)
Best cinematography: Children of Men
