Casino Royale

It pays of to have connections, and my big brother most be the best connection I have. He's been working in the electronic business for many years, and have helped me satisfy my unending appetite for new shiny gadgets.
Currently he's working for Sony Ericsson in Denmark, who yesterday held a special arrangement in Imperial movie theater in Copenhagen, showing of the new James Bond movie for employess...and me.

Being a life-long Bond fan (I had Bond PJ's as a child and the bond suitcase among other things), I was naturally very excited about seeing the latest Bond movie. I really didn't like Pierce Brosnan or the movies for that sake, all gadgets and expensive action sequences, and not much else.

And my judgement is: Top dollar! I really liked it. It really redefined my opinion of what a Bond movie is, in a good way. It's a remake of the very first Ian Flemming book, before Bond is an experienced operative. It doesn't feature many gadgets or a grumpy old Q, on the other hand it features a good story, measured action sequences, and some very nice performances. Daniel Craig manages to give the role some much needed life, making Bond a more cynical and cold-heartet killer while still being sympathetic, instead of the one dimensional cartoonish hero he had become. The play between Eva Green (the female lead) and Craig is especially enjoyable, and I predict she will have a bright future ahead of her. Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen also did a nice job playing the villain.

If you'r in the least a Bond fan I suggest you see this movie. It opens in Denmark on friday.
