Spot aftermath

I'm back from the Spot Festival, and had a blast in the city of smiles. It didn't start of to well though, as I was denied access with my 'professional' camera, despite my efforts there was nothing I could do, so I had to stow it in a locker, and resign myself to just using my phone for pictures. In a way it was probably pretty good, since I could just focus on the music and getting drunk.

The program wasn't too exciting the first day in my opinion, besides the sun was shining and it was the first official day of summer, so alot of time just went with sitting in the grass, talking to friends and drinking heavily overpriced draught beer. Actually only the Swedish pop band Shout Out Louds made a real impression on me, very cool. Moving on to saturday...

Shout Out Louds

Saturday wen't a little slow at first. Walked around in the city some, and went to see the Aros museum. Aros wasn't too exciting, the best was "The 9 rooms", in the basement that had modern, experimental exhibits. Especially Bill Viola's "Five Angels for the Millenium" was impressive. The rest was mainly naturalistic landscape paintings, and some not to exciting modern things.

Snake and Jet's Amazing Bullit Band

Later I saw a very nice intimate perfomance by Said the Shark, excellent rock'n'roll perfomance by Powersolo, cool fun surfrock by El Ray, fun crazy show by Snake and Jet's Amazing Bullit Band (in which I played Thor's guitar with my teeth), a mindblowing performance by Speaker Bite Me (with choir girls and extra percussion), and an excellent show by Spleen United with an amazing light show.

Spleen United

Later I finished a bottle of Icelandic Brennivin that I had hid in some bushes, with the guys from Snake & Jet, that was fun. Call me Mr. Starfucker.

See all the pictures from the festival here, and as always you can see the full list of concerts I attended in the "Cultural Artifacts Devoured", which you will find in the sidebar or just press here.

Also I've uploaded the full set of pictures from the Cody concert, you can see those here

And Good Luck Casper got voted in on number five on Det Elektriske Barometer, yay! Remember to vote for him by sending a mail to barometer@dr.dk with 3-5 votes. See the list here

Det lyder jo som en meget god spotfestival du har haft der. Godt at du syntes om Shout out louds, jeg hørte dem jo onsdags hvor de også var i topform.
